D.C. Minner (who got into 5 halls of fame) was born here in 1935 and returned with his wife/bassist after 25 years touring the nation and beyond. He brought a wealth of music with him! D.C. and Selby were married 32 years and they founded the Oklahoma Blues Hall of Fame here in Rentiesville in 2003. Before that they started a great Blues Festival held every year over Labor Day Weekend - in 1991. There are jam sessions each week on Sunday except in winter. D.C. passed in 2008 (age 73) and now his wife Selby and Dan Oklahoma Slim and the Friends of Rentiesville Blues keep the music and events rolling!! (918) 855-0978,    701 D.C.
